ReviewPort is deliberately small and local-first. These answers cover setup, numeric confirmation, local data, verification, exports, and upgrades.

The FAQ explains the local data boundary and workflow limits. The support page shows what to include if a setup issue is reproducible, so a report can focus on facts instead of private data.

01Is ReviewPort free to use?
Yes. ReviewPort is a free Chrome extension released under the MIT License. Download the current GitHub Release ZIP and load it locally in Chrome.
02What does ReviewPort do?
It helps you set a target number of visible TikTok Shop reviews, apply a rating or photo preference, confirm exact-star scans numerically, inspect saved records locally, and choose a local export only if useful.
03Where does my review data go?
ReviewPort processes the selected page locally in your browser. It does not send review data to a remote ReviewPort service. Locally saved scan data can be cleared and is designed to clean up after seven days.
04Can it bypass TikTok verification?
No. If TikTok presents a verification challenge, ReviewPort pauses. You must complete the prompt yourself before you decide whether to continue.
05Why is the scan preview empty or why did it not start?
A narrow filter can legitimately have no matching reviews. For an exact-star scan, ReviewPort also does not start when TikTok’s visible matching-result count does not equal that star’s visible histogram count.
06Why can my Shopify import fail?
Variant is not a Shopify SKU. Product-matching formats require a merchant-supplied Shopify handle or Product ID, and fields such as country or verified purchase exist only when TikTok provides them.
07Will saved reviews survive an upgrade?
Saved data belongs to the extension’s local storage and may not carry over to a new unpacked folder. Export anything you want to keep before upgrading.
08Is ReviewPort on the Chrome Web Store?
No. ReviewPort is distributed as a GitHub Release ZIP. That means installation uses Chrome Developer mode and Load unpacked.
09Can I use exported data with an AI tool?
Only if you decide the selected records are appropriate to share. Review external AI service controls, remove or mask information you should not share, ask a constrained question, and verify output against the original records.

Report a reproducible issue, not a guess.
Include your extension’s version, Chrome version, page type, review target, selected filters, the steps you took, and the visible error. Do not include private customer data or credentials.
